The preparatory year for work and career (VAB) offers you the chance to be integrated into the primary labor market. You can work on your German language skills or acquire a secondary school leaving certificate.

You also have the opportunity to get to know different professions at our school.

VABO

You are between 15 and 20 years old, new or not long in Germany, and want to take your future into your own hands. Then a preparation class for work and profession with a focus on acquiring German language skills is just right for you. With us, you can learn the German language, get to know professions, meet nice people who have the same goal, and get support for your start in a foreign country!

The main goal is to promote German language, reading, and writing skills to enable you to pursue vocational training. At the end of the school year, a language assessment is conducted, and a language certificate is issued. After completing and achieving language level A2 or B1, you can switch to a preparation class for work and profession (VAB) to achieve an equivalent secondary school diploma and language level B2.

VAB

To attend a VAB class, you need at least A2 level German language skills. You will have lessons in the subjects German, Mathematics, English, Religion, Computer Science, Life Skills, and Vocational Studies.

The main goal is the equivalent secondary school diploma, with exams in German, Mathematics, and possibly English after one year.

In the VAB classes, the focus is on achieving B2 language level and gaining insights into various professional fields.

AV-Dual

Dual vocational preparation means: You attend school and complete several internships in your desired profession. You can check if the profession matches your expectations and at the same time have the opportunity to achieve the intermediate school certificate within two years.

telc Exam

You wish to acquire a language certificate and are looking for an examination center. The Language and Integration Center is a licensed partner of Telc gGmbH and offers language exams. We offer an exam day once a month on Saturdays. Registration is done online. You will receive your certificate within 3-4 weeks.
